I've been on many diets and afterwards all I do is gain the weight back and more, why?
Every time one diets with out exercise one loses valuable muscle. Muscle sets our metabolic rate. One pound of muscle burns 50 calories!! Each time you diet with out exercising you lose muscle and when you return to your regular eating habits you put the weight back on and more.
I reduced my calories to practically eating just celery and rice cakes every day and can not lose weight, why?
We need a certain amount of calories to live and breath. When we reduce our calories too much our body senses starvation and slows our metabolisn further. We actually need to eat to lose. The key is in eating the right foods while incorporating exercise into our daily lifestyle.
